This
class is intended for the student who feels overwhelmed by the
number of WIP's in her closet (WIP=Work in Progress). But this
isn't just Studio Time. This is Intervention Time! How many projects
do you have that you're stuck on? It could be:
- a class
project for which you can't figure out the directions
- a charted
project to which you want to make changes
- a painted
canvas where you can't decide how to do the beard
- a project
of your own design with color issues
- a project
that needs a lift with new threads
- a project
with an 'unfixable' problem: can this piece be saved?
- a painted
canvas that you just don't know how to start
- a background
that just isn't working
In this intense
class, we will concentrate on getting projects on track for completion.
Students may bring one or as many unfinished projects as they
want. Stitching will be done in class. The teacher's task is to
work individually through demonstration and brainstorming with
each student to provide a solution to each problem project.

It's Tony Time! |
|
|
| |
| How
many times have you picked up an unfinished piece after a class
and said to yourself "Wish I had another couple of days with
this teacher, so I could get more questions answered or revisit
some area?" Well now you will have the chance with "It's
Tony Time". Bring any design that you have previously studied
with Tony and he will be there to answer your questions and help
you with further studies for the design. Of course you can bring
more than one piece, if you choose. During the 3 days, Tony will
be presenting some exercises in stitches, perspective and texture,
so he encourages you to bring a doodle canvas ( 12" x 12"
) and some threads you enjoy using. |

| The
class is a needlepoint class and there will be one rule - "if
it is not fun it is not needlepoint." We will work with individual
student's needs and problems with needlepoint projects. This class
is focused at the students getting a better understanding of the
process of choosing stitches, threads, colors and textural needs.
A rotation system will be developed to address individual needs
and concerns of the students. Threads will not be provided with
the class but students are encouraged to bring possible thread
choices they are considering and we will utilize the seminar shop
for thread options. |
